The weather has cooled, the crowds at the shore have thinned, and the kids are back in school. This can only mean one thing, fall camping season is here!

After a successful summer season New Jersey campgrounds and RV Parks are changing gears from summer camping and are getting ready welcome their fall campers. Many campgrounds and RV Parks remain open  thru October and continue to offer a variety fun activities including classic car shows, wine-tasting events, 50’s music weekends, Halloween events, hayrides, and even a Survivor weekend. Most campgrounds offer lower rates during the fall and have special offers for mid-week stays and monthly weekend stays with storage.

While the campgrounds offer many activities the regions they are located in continue to host fabulous events through the fall as well. Traveling around the state during the fall visitors can appreciate the changing colors of the leaves.   Live entertainment, bird and butterfly watchingfestivals, street fairs, and block parties fill the fall calendar throughout the state. If a busy event is not your style, why not enjoy a tasting and tour at one of the many wineries or craft beer breweries throughout the state. Tasting rooms are open all year long and many hold events in the fall.

New Jersey campgrounds are spread out across the state offering campers a wide variety of experiences. Campers can enjoy tubing or canoeing down the Delaware River, hiking trails, or stay minutes from the beaches. The weather is still very mild in September and October and the crowds are gone, but there is still plenty to enjoy. Most campgrounds are pet friendly so you can travel with your best friend.

Many campgrounds offer daily, weekly and seasonal site rentals.
